Hello! Welcome to March! We’ve had a bit of a Spring tease this week with the sunshine! I cannot wait for warmer weather!
On Monday/Tuesday we worked on the letter E. We read Elmer the Elephant and for art we made our own patchwork elephant.
In our centers we colored our E ABC page, practiced cutting playdoh, practiced writing our name, made the Letter E on mini peg boards, and put Googly eyes on the letter E.
On Wed/Thursday we all dressed in green or gray! Most of the kids know the color green but Gray is a tricky one! We talked about what makes gray, and how it is different than silver. We read the book Little Blue and Little Yellow and we played Color and Shape Bingo. Most of the kids loved Bingo and there are so many versions to encourage memorization of letters, numbers, shapes etc.
For our centers we did simple and advance patterns with elephants and gray clouds, color sheet of all gray things, green egg stamping worksheet, mixing blue and yellow to make green, and Peg Board counting.
Next week we will celebrate Dr. Seuss! If your child has a favorite Dr. Seuss book they want to bring in I will try to read it during classtime. Please make sure it is labeled with their name!
I hope you have a great weekend!
