We have been busy learning about the letter U this week.  We had fun learning about the letter U with underwater, unicorns, umbrellas, and up.  We had a lot of exciting activities this week including; painting under the table, painting with balloons, using a parachute, and watching the movie Up on the big movie projector.  We will have many more exciting activities to come next week!

We will also focus on the numbers 17 and 18 this month.

Literacy Activities:

  • Searched for lower case shell letters under water
  • Underwater animal beginning sound clip
  • Stamped letters in play-doh
  • Fed unicorn rhymes
  • Roll letter U and graph
  • Practiced writing the letter U

Math/Science Activities:

  • Added with fish
  • Counted water animal’s bubbles
  • Filled unicorn 10 frames with colored gems
  • Sorted water and land animals
  • Practiced writing the number 17

Books We Read:

  • Under The Sea
  • Clumsy Crab
  • Unicorn Day
  • Grumpycorn
  • Great Day for Up
  • Goldilicious

Next Week/Reminders:

Next week we will be having fun learning with Dr.Seuss books; One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, The Cat and the Hat, The Foot Book, and Green Eggs and Ham.  March 11 is our Green Eggs and Ham day.  We will be eating eggs and ham on this day. If your child can not have these items, please contact me.

We still try to go outside if the weather allows.  Please make sure your child comes with a warm coat, gloves/mittens, and a hat.

I encourage everyone to send in a water bottle.  We do not have a water fountain available because of COVID.
