Hello! I can’t believe we’ve made it to May! We’re in the home stretch to summer break!
We had a review week this week using the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom books!
Mon/Tues we reviewed letters. We did lots of activities with ABC’s. In our centers we colored a coconut tree and added letter stickers like in the the book, made our name with play doh and letter cookie cutters, matched ABC magnets, found the letters in our name and traced them, and sorted bears by color.
Wed/Thursday was all things numbers and counting.
We traced numbers, graphed animal erasers, used clip cards to count and number recognition, we used a blank May calendar as a board game and counted our way to the Last day of School! (The kids loved this once they got the hang of it!) we used number magnets on the white board.
It was a great week of review and the kids seemed to have fun! Next week we review shapes!
Our butterflies have started to hatch! By Monday/Tuesday they should all be ready to let loose in our playground! The kids have loved watching them!
