I can’t believe it’s the last week of April and our last letter, Yy! Here’s a snap shot of our week…
In centers the kids colored pictures that started with Y, they made letters with monkey string, and wove yellow pipe cleaners through cookie drying racks. They also, painted with yarn wrapped around rolling pins, cut and glued the letters for the word y-e-l-l-o-w above a flower and colored everything yellow, and worked on letter puzzles.
For our last week of specials Mrs. Luz brought in 2 pinatas and all of the kids had a chance to hit it. I’m sure they showed you the candy they came home with!
In art we decorated a flower with crumpled up tissue paper. There was glue everywhere! 🙂
We read lost of books this week but we have consistently read several Mercy Watson books. Ask your kids about the books and about the characters. They have been really fun to read together.
During the month of May we will be reviewing all of the letters. Each day we will cover 2-4 letters. It will be a whirlwind!
