Tues: A Day at the Circus!

Rosie the Elf on the Shelf and her friend Oscar the Moose arrived! Then we read the story “The Elf on the Shelf.” The kids loved seeing them back again! The ABC Circus came! We played I spy circus,  a circus matching game, and then sorted letters for C. Finally we painted our hands brown, colored our monthly coloring sheets and name sheets.

Wed: C is for Candy Canes!

Today we talked about Candy Cane kindness and read the story “Katie and the Candy Cane Fairy!” Then we did red and white patterns on a candy canes, had fun making candy canes out of play-doh, and did candy cane thumb prints. Finally we practiced tracing lowercase c, and did a cut and paste candy canes by size. (small, medium, and large)

Thurs: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

Today we started out our day by reading ” Cookie’s week” and “If you give a cat a cupcake. ” The kids loved the book on the cupcakes! Then we got to paint popsicle sticks blue, put gogglie eyes on our brown hand prints, and had fun in big room today! Finally we traced uppercase c’s, cut and paste a letter c paper, and painted a Christmas surprise!
