Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

We had a fun week and ended it with our Valentine’s Day party on Thursday! Thank you to all the parents that donated items, I greatly appreciate you all helping out making the day a success.

We focused on the letter Vv and had centers around the letter and also our numbers for the month. Some of the activities included: tracing hearts, Vv color page, tracing our upper and lowercase letters, locating the number 15 in a scramble, and had a color by number for Valentine’s day. We also finished our love ladybugs and complete some Valentine crafts. I have been doing letter and number (0-20) flashcards numerous times throughout the day to get them mastered hopefully by March/spring break!

The books we read this week were: Vegetables in Underwear (kids were really giggling on this one), Too Much Vacation, Love Monster, Olive my Love, and The Biggest Valentine Ever.

The students decorated their treat bags for their Valentine’s, made a pipecleaner heart with their name on it, completed a Valentine craft for their families and enjoyed a treat on Thursday.

I want to thank you all for the birthday and Valentine goodies!!!! I am blessed to have such wonderful families that appreciate and care about me and the job I do for their child. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Next week we will be working on the letter Hh and will be focusing on our phone numbers and addresses at the end of the week. I will be using a home phone number if there is one listed on your registration paperwork, if not, I will be using mom’s cell phone number as the one they learn.

Please continue to work on letter recognition, letter sounds, number recognition, counting items at home and WRITING! If you have any questions, please let me know! MrsAimeeABC@gmail.com
