Hello! We started our week wearing Black and White to School! Surprisingly enough black was a color many kids got confused with brown so it was good to review!

We read Pete The Cat and His White Shoes.

In our centers we colored our monthly color sheet, used white chalk on black paper, colored a mitten to hang in the hall, Sneaky Snacky Squirrel game, counted with wooden peg math boards.

Wed/Thursday we learned the #5. We read The First Day of Winter, and I traced the kids hands as we counted 5 fingers.

In our centers we did a #5 worksheet, pattern bears, used floam on a #5 mat, put snowflakes on numbered mittens, and matched letter magnets on the white board.

This week Mid Year Evals went home. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. I can say most kids make the most progress this second half of the year. I’m excited as we enter this second half of the year, the kids are comfortable with the class routines and each other and everything starts to click! It’s fun to watch!

Have a great weekend!
