Shape of the Week:

Tues: S is for Snowman

Today we started our day by reading “First Snow.” Then we did  shaving cream letters! The thought that this was so much fun! Then we did letter Ss in sand, color-cut-paste letter S, letter I,S,W, and X in tangrams. Finally we counted to 100 and then counted by 2’s.

Wed: Stars and Space

Today was all about Stars and Space! We started out our day by reading the story “How to Catch a Star.” Then we did a following the directions art project where the kids made their own spaceship with their names. This was so much fun! Finally we ended our day by searching for our ABC stars with magnetic wands, did a spaceship counting, star letter sounds, and tracing letter S.

Thurs: Dr. Seuss Stories

Today we started out our day by reading the story “The Cat in The Hat.” Then we did a creative writing on what we do to get the Cat and The Hat out of of our house! The responses were priceless! Finally we ended our day by tracing capital letter S, painting our hand gray (for the Horton Hears a Who elephant), did a Dr. Seuss rhyming objects page, and then a Dr. Seuss letter matching.
