Welcome to Mrs. Kelli’s Preschool Classroom!

This week, we focused on the #5, the colors black & white, and winter themes!

Books we read:

Pete the Cat: Rocking in my White Shoes

Penguins Love Colors

We did a creative writing activity, “What I like to do in the winter..” and we colored the mitten and glued snowmen on too!

We used white chalk to doodle on black paper

We did our monthly coloring page

We did 1:1 correspondence using our numbered peg boards

We played a fun squirrel game, using our fine motor skills to match acorns to the correct colors on a tree stump

We did patterning

We used kinetic sand to form balls and put them in groups of 5

We did our #5 worksheet

We did “mitten math”, matching white snowflakes to different corresponding numbered mittens 1-5

We did ABC matching, using magnets on our white board

We practiced name writing

We continued with our evaluations this week also!

A copy of your child’s progress report came home this past week, as well as re-registration forms for the next school year.

Next week, we will be eating ice cream…vanilla with chocolate syrup.  If your child can’t eat this, please send in a safe replacement. Thanks!

Please remember to use your car sign at pick-up time. It needs to be in your window well before you pass Door D on the side of the school (by the school sign) otherwise it’s very difficult for us to catch your child’s name.  While you wait in line outside, we use the signs to line the kids up inside to help keep our line moving. In the event that you have misplaced your sign, you can make one. Just write the name big and bold so we can read it.  Thank you so much!

Until Next Week,

Mrs. Kelli
