I hope you all had a great week! We all had fun at Preschool!
On Monday/Tuesday we celebrated Dr. Seuss! We made a fox or sock as we read Fox and Socks. We also read Cat in the Hat.
In our centers we colored our Nursery Rhyme-Humpty Dumpty, used counting chips on a 10 Apples up on Top counting mat, used dot markers on a Dr. Seuss hat, stacked red cups and white paper like a Seuss hat, and went fishing for red and blue fish!
On Wed/Thur we worked on the color Gray. This color gives kids the most trouble so I really wanted to put a lot of focus on it! We saw so many kids wear gray to school! It was great! We painted a gray cloud and read Emeraldalicious. (Not gray but they love this series!!)
In our centers we colored a gray worksheet, made patterns with gray elephants and gray clouds, cut gray paper, mixed shaving cream and black paint to make grey, and dug through decorative glass rocks for nickels (silver) and play coins (gray) to see the difference between gray and silver.
It was a great week! Next week we will work on green and the Diamond (Rhombus) shape!
Have a great weekend!
