Turkey Tuesday-Triangle/Transportation Wednesday-Thankful Thursday were our themes for the week! We did lots of activities involving those items as well as packing up our Operation Christmas Boxes for the children in need. We were very grateful for all those who donated items and the kids packed them all up on Thursday!

Some of our center items included: coloring/cut/paste the Tt’s on the turkey feathers, turkey color by number, counted and graphed the different transportation vehicles-the back side was to do at home, colored a truck and cut it out, practiced cutting triangles and rectangles, and we always work on writing our names. Our cutting skills are slowly getting better. I try to have at least one cutting activity per work if not more. We practiced more our two nursery rhymes for the month also, This Little Piggy and Hey, Diddle Diddle.

We read lots of books involving our themes for each day. Tuesday we read How to Catch a Turkey, Who Will Carve the Turkey this Thanksgiving, and Titch the Tiddler. Wednesday we read Curious George Takes a Trip, Pete the Cat and the Train Trip, and A Tale about Tails. Thursday was our thankful day and we read three books Peppa Gives Thanks, Litter Critter Just So Thankful, and Clifford Giving Thanks.

Thursday we always talked about what we were thankful for and students shared their show and share item that they brought in and were thankful for. Each student did well and added on some things the more we talked about being thankful.

Lastly, our craft for the week was our shape turkeys! They cut all the triangles and rectangle out themselves and glued on where they wanted. I had the circles for the eyes punched out and they glued them how they wanted. I had a sample and all students did well creating their own!

We had a good week and have class only on Tuesday next week!
