Welcome to Mrs. Kelli’s Preschool Classroom!
This week, we celebrated Thanksgiving!
We had our Thanksgiving parties this week!
We played pass the pumpkin, pin the feather on the turkey, and did a balloon toss!
For our craft, we made apple turkeys, which we sent home. They turned out really cute and the kids had a blast putting them together!
Our snack was a “Friendship Mix”. We explained how Thanksgiving meals are often made by several people bringing different things, and those things, when put together, make a great feast!
We told them that different elements of our Friendship Mix were brought by several different people for us to put together. They really seemed to enjoy it! Our snack was made from popcorn, chocolate chips, pretzel sticks, & Teddy Grahams. Since everyone loved the mini marshmallows & Fruit Loops we used on the apple turkeys, we added those as well! They loved it & gobbled it up!
We also read “Who Will Carve the Turkey on Thanksgiving?”
We will be decorating our class Christmas tree in the upcoming days. We would love it if your child would send a homemade ornament to school. It can be very simple, made from ordinary things you already have at home. Please send it in as soon as you can. The kids love seeing their decorations on our tree! Please make sure you put your child’s name on it as well, so we can return it before we get out for Christmas Break.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Until Next Week,
