This week, we focused on the letter O & the #2

 

Books we read:

 

Police-Hurrying, Helping, Saving!

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly

 

Centers this week:

 

We colored an octopus orange on our O ABC page

We did linking chains for our fine motor

We did an O letter find

We picked orange paper out of other colors, and put them in a letter O shape

We practiced our cutting

We worked on our fine motor skills doing a sensory activity of collecting water in a sponge and squeezing it out

We did a #2 worksheet (this came home)

We did muffin tin math, separating counters 2 by 2

We worked with giant peg boards

We used our white board to hang magnets in groups of 2

We practiced writing our names

 

We made owl art, gluing eyes, beaks legs and making an owl out of letter O

 

We had a special treat this week–we got a visit from the St. John Police Department!  The officers showed us a lot of great things and were very informative.  The kids really seemed to enjoy it!
