HaPpY HaLLoWeeN!!!

We had a fun week at ABC!

A few of the things we did in centers this week: found and colored all the Oo’s, found and colored all the Rr’s, completed a Rainbow Fish writing activity, following directions with coloring spiders, rainbow patterns, letter Oo writing page and a color by number fish page. We also did create our own rainbow fish with tearing colored paper as scales, each student’s fish was very unique!

I read LOTS of books this week which involved some of our center activities. The books this week were: Rainbow Fish to the Rescue, Rainbow Fish and the Big Blue Whale, Big Fish Little Fish, Pout Pout Fish, Halloween ABCs, Hedgehugs Autumn Hide and Squeak, Haunted Halloween, The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Happy Halloween Little Critter and Arthur’s Halloween!

The two nursery rhymes we went over all month were the Itsy Bitsy Spider and Little Miss Muffet. You may have seen a Little Miss Muffet coloring page come home also. See if they can sing/say them to you!

Thursday was our Harvest Party and it was fun seeing all the kids in their costumes and were excited to show them off to their classmates. I think some of the came out of their shell a bit and were a little more relaxed and chatty, which is a good thing! The kids got lots of treats by walking through our little trunk or treat that Mrs. Trish and Mrs. Colleen set up so nicely! The students got wrapped up in toliet paper and were mummies which they thought was fun and funny! Thank you to all the parents who donated candy, treats and items for our class and volunteering your time to help out! Parties can’t happen without the help from our awesome ABC parents!!!

We did have two snacks this week. We enjoyed some rainbow Goldfish on Tuesday and Thursday during our Harvest Party we had rice krispie treats and water. All the goodies they got during the trunk or treat were sent home for you all to inspect, they did not have any candy in class.
