The terrific letter Tt
Turkey Tuesday!! We had so much fun learning about the letter Tt using turkeys. We did a creative writing page where the kids told me how they thought we should cook a turkey. You’d be surprised to know how difficult coming up with creative answers can be at this age! The class had to put feather back on our turkeys depending on what number was on their turkey and use clip cards with turkeys to work on beginning sounds. We’re still struggling with rhyming so we threw in some extra practice .
Wednesday and Thursday the class was in good hands with our assistant teachers while I was out of town. On Wednesday they learned about the letter Tt using transportation! They made name trains and used sorting mats to separate transportation by land, water or air. To practice writing the letter Tt they traced the letter in a quick kit and then wrote some on their own.
Thursday was the day to talk about all of the things we are thankful for. Each kiddo created their own thankful turkey, picking and writing 4 things they’re thankful for. They also made thankful bracelets and picked something specific for each color bead that they were blessed and thankful to have. To round out the week they worked on some Thanksgiving patterns!
Next week the only school day is Tuesday and it also happens to be our party day!! I hope to see you there! If not have a wonderful holiday and break!! We pick back up on Tuesday December 3 with the letter Jj
