Happy October !!
We are starting off October learning about the letter Rr.
Tuesday was all about radiant rainbows. We used colored straw pieces and laces to string some rainbows, built rainbow number towers and made rainbows out of torn construction paper.
Wednesday was a very special day. We started Specials! All 5 of the all day classes take turns teaching certain subjects. This year we have, Spanish, sign language, math, phonics and science . We rotate the kids every 15 mins to explore a new subject. We continue specials every Wednesday through the rest of the year . In the afternoon when we were back in our classroom we cut, colored and glued rocket ships, and did some rocket rhyming .
Thursday we used robots and rectangles to help us learn about the letter Rr. The class created rectangle robots, counted robot gears and used robots to rhyme! Rhyming is hard at this age so I introduce this early on. Since everyone was doing so well, we went out side and used stomp rockets!
