This week we learned about the letter Q. Tuesday was King and Queen Day. This is one of my favorite days each year and I hope you enjoyed it as well! For centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase Q, played in a spring sensory bin, made a q queen, and played a whats the number game. At the end of the day, we made a Q book and had story time.

Wednesday was Quarters Day. We celebrated Ava’s birthday and practiced writing our first and last names. In centers, we practiced writing Q’s, did our Q cutting page, sorted jellybeans, and put quarters on Q. For specials, we watched our Zoo Phonics video and played charades. At the end of the day, we did a quarter page together as a class and had story time.

Thursday was Quilt day. We started the day writing Q’s and coloring a quilt. We celebrated Stojan’s birthday. In centers, we made a pattern quilt with crayons, played a Q phonics game, did  what’s the number page, and used magnets to make quilts. In art class, we did our graduation hand prints and made family quilts with tissue paper. At the end of the day, we did some makeup work and had story time. Next week we will start our last month of school and review all the letters we learned throughout the school year. We will also be getting ready for graduations!
