This week we learned about the letter Y and had our Easter party. Tuesday was Yarn art day. We started the day tracing Y’s and coloring yarn. In morning centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase Y’s, found all the Y’s, did a whats the number activity, and did number yarn plates. In afternoon centers, we finished our balloon craft, played there’s a Yeti in my spaghetti, did an April letter puzzle, and some jellybean graphing. At the end of the day, we did a coloring following directions activity and played number Bingo.

Wednesday was wear yellow day. We started the day coloring a yellow duck. In centers, we did our April writing sample, did a flower letter match game, did a yellow on Y activity, and our Y cutting page. In specials, we learned our letter sounds with the Zoo phonics video and cards. At the end of the day we colored different color umbrellas and had story time.

Thursday was our Easter party day. We started the day practicing writing our first and last names. Then we had our Easter party. We played with a parachute with eggs in the middle, had a snack together, and then played some games. We had to find the eggs under different cups, make towers with eggs, do an obstacle course, and play the egg spoon relay. The kids had a fun time! For art, we did bunny marble art. These came out so cute! At the end of the day, we played with Playdoh mats and made an Easter egg in a basket project. Have a great Easter and see you next week for B week!
