This week was H week! Tuesday was Happy Hearts day. We started the day coloring a heart page. In morning centers, we practiced writing our phone numbers and addresses, started writing upper and lowercase H’s, did some ten frames for math, and did an H cutting page. In afternoon centers, we put heart stickers on letter H, counted candy hearts with number cards, made H’s on geo boards, and played a beanbag game. At the end of the day, we did makeup work and played games. We also did story time with some H books.

Wednesday was crazy hair and hat day! Loved seeing all the kids in their crazy hair styles 🙂 We started the morning finding H’s. In centers, we made a hat with paint sticks and cotton balls, did an H review page, matched heads with tails of different animals, and did a hair cutting page. For specials, we watched our ZooPhonics video and practiced our letter cards. At the end of the day, we went to the chapel and sang songs to Jesus.

Thursday’s theme was Home Sweet Home. We started the day practicing writing our first and last names and phone numbers and addresses. In centers, we practiced writing our phone numbers and pressing buttons on the back of the door. We even practiced with a real cell phone! We also matched uppercase house letters with their lowercase key letters, did some candy heart graphing, and cut and glued words that start with H into houses. For art, we used different shapes to make our own houses. At the end of the day, we played games and had story time. Next week, we will learn about the letter D with Dental, Dinosaurs, and Dr. Seuss!
