Week of January 20th

This week, we focused on the colors black & white,  counting, & the #5

Monday & Tuesday were Google Classroom days. We hope those of you who were able to do it, enjoyed the activities we provided. 

 

Books we read:

My 5 Senses

 

Centers:

We did 1:1 correspondence, using wooden peg & block counters

We played a dice game, rolling dice, counting the dots & marking the corresponding number with chips. Our favorite part was using our magnetic wands to pick up the chips!

We did a worksheet using dot markers to go with the corresponding number

We put counters in the shape of the #5

We made a “melted snowman” using paint & glue, & answered a prompt about why/ what happens when a snowman melts. They are super cute!

 

Art/Other

We did more mid-year evaluating, focusing primarily on number recognition & identification skills
