This week we learned about the letter G. Tuesday was Grandparent Day. We started the day writing our first and last names and phone numbers. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase G, traced A-Z to our grandparents, wrote to our grandparents, and did a grandma and grandpa color by number. Then we performed for our Grandparents. They did such a great job!
Wednesday was gumball day. We started the day playing with toys with friends. In morning centers, we did our G letter review page, painted with dabbers to make gumballs, counted gumballs, and played with magnets. In afternoon centers, we did our gray page, found G’s, matched gumballs to ten frames, and finished making our gumball machines. At the end of the day we did a color by number and had story time.
Thursday was Growing Gardens day and we wore green. We started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we did our G is for green page, our G cutting page, made G’s on geo boards, and played in our gardening sensory bin. In afternoon centers, we wrote letter G, colored G’s, tried to pick out gems in kinetic sand using tweezers, and put soil, seed, and water in a container to grow grass. At the end of the day, we played “hey riddle riddle” with another class. We sent home Flat Stanley and grass to grow over Spring Break!
Enjoy Spring Break with your families! See you in April to celebrate Spring and Earth Day 🙂
