This week we learned about the letter T. Tuesday was Turkey Tuesday! We started the morning coloring turkeys. In morning centers, we did a color by letter turkey and practiced tracing upper and lowercase T’s. We also counted feathers to put on turkeys and cut out letter T’s to glue on a turkey’s feathers. In afternoon centers, we counted turkeys, did a connect the dot alphabet which turned into a T, traced numbers, and found all the T’s on a turkey. At the end of the day, we made turkey headbands. They turned out so cute!

Wednesday was triangles and transportation day. We started the day practicing writing our first and last names. In morning centers, we did our November writing sample, our T cutting page, sorted shapes, and used different modes of transportation on shape tracks. In specials, we learned about the letter T in phonics. We learned the new animal, sound, and motion. We also watched the ZooPhonics video and practiced our other letter cards as well. We ended the day with some makeup work and story time.

Thursday was Thankful Thursday! We also wore brown today. For morning work, we found all the letter T’s. In morning centers, we talked about what we are thankful for and drew a picture. We also did our T letter review page and made T’s with playdoh. The turkey trot game was really fun for the kids to play together! For art, we cut and glued pieces of our thankful turkey. At the end of the day, we made gratitude bracelets. These were so fun to make and find out all the things and people the kids are grateful for 🙂

Next week, we only have one day but it will be a fun day! We will have our Thanksgiving Party from 9:15-10:00 and will watch the Charlie brown movie. We will make Thanksgiving hats, eat a snack, and play fun games. See u then 🙂
