This was a fun week with our Harvest Party and Halloween! Tuesday we played with toys in the morning, had circle time and bathroom break, then had our fun Harvest Party! We ate snack together, made a craft, and played some games. For art, we made a pumpkin face craft. They are hanging in our hallway. We also made a name ghost. Those went home with the students. At the end of the day, we had big room play time and then did some makeup work.

Wednesday was wear orange day. We started the day writing our first names. Then we had specials. For phonics, we played a game with our Zoo phonics cards, I did the sound and motion and the kids had to find the right letter on the wall. They had a good time and are learning more and more letter sounds. For afternoon centers, we colored objects orange and practiced writing the word orange, we played a letter leaves game, we played a candy corn math game, and we painted orange on O. At the end of the day, we had story time.

Thursday was Halloween and pumpkin day! We started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we practiced writing the letters we have learned so far in school, did pumpkin 10 frames with orange Play-Doh, made a pumpkin with stickers and markers, and played a popcorn letter game. In afternoon centers, we used paint dotters to make pumpkins, played a pumpkin bucket beanbag game, did a push pin pumpkin, and played with Play-Doh. At the end of the day we did some makeup work and played with our friends. Hope you all had a great Halloween!

See you next week for our start of November and a new letter Z with Zoo, zippers, zig zags, and zebras. We will also have our Culvers night next week 🙂
