This week was Toy Story Week!
Tuesday we started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we traced lines for writing, matched upper and lower case letters with letter popsicle for phonics, counted and made towers with blocks for math, and made play doh Forky for our sensory center. In art, we made Alien headbands from Toy Story. In afternoon centers, we colored Toy Story coloring pages, practiced patterns on what comes next page, and grabbed aliens with tongs in our Claw game for our fine motor center. We had a fun Toy Story themed day!
Wednesday we started the day coloring a Toy Story coloring page. For morning centers, we wrote on drawing boards for writing, practiced beginning letter sounds for phonics, counted Toy Story characters for math, and made our own Forky for our sensory/fine motor center. In afternoon centers, we colored more Toy Story characters, painted with paint dabbers to make a circle, did a Toy Story puzzle, and used Pop it toys to make numbers. We ended the day playing outside!
Thursday we continued our Toy Story week. We started the day practicing writing our names in our Quick kits. In morning centers, we got to use the big dry erase board and write numbers and shapes, played a memory game, practiced patterns, and did some cutting practice. In afternoon centers, we did a color sorting game, spelled our names with magnetic letters, played with real dominoes, and made a Forky hand print craft. We ended the day with story time.
See you next week for our first letter of the alphabet week, letter A! We will be doing activities with apples and astronauts. Please wear the color red on Tuesday <3
