Mrs. Kelli’s Preschool Classroom

This week we focused on our “All About Me” theme, & the letter M

We had a really fun & busy week together!

One of the biggest questions I get is how we spend our day, so here is s breakdown of our schedule:

Arrival-Bathroom Time-Big Room Time (Music & Movement) Circle Time, Center Time, Art/special activity time, free play time – Recall-Dismissal

On with this week’s activities!

For centers, we did a fanta board-matching colors to make a house picture. We used mirrors to look at our unique features to draw a self portrait. We practiced our fine motor skills, using stickers to form our 1st initial/recognize our names. We  used cards to identify our body parts such as our eyes, ears, hair, etc. Our art project this week went along with this theme too-making super cute “shape people” of ourselves.

For letter M, we read the book, “If You Give A Moose  A Muffin”-& to go along with that, we did a gluing project-gluing blueberries on muffins, & using magnets on  a Moose & the letter M. We learned about other M things-such as monkeys, which we hooked together (Barrel Full of Monkeys), which is fun for fine motor practice.  We colored a mouse for our ABC page. We also practiced drawing horizontal lines! The best part was going outside to eat muffins!

We had chapel time this week & learned about the story of Creation & how God made everything… including his best Creation-US!

The weather has been cooperating, so we got to go outside & play too!

Until next week-
