This week we learned about the letter C. Tuesday was cloud day and we wore the color blue. We started the day reading books with friends. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase C, fed clouds pictures that start with a certain letter, did a cotton ball count, and wrote Christmas letters to our parents. We also caught up on ornaments from last week. Then we had lunch and recess. For art, we made name trees where we cut and glued shapes to make a Christmas tree. Next, we had play practice with Mrs. Trish. Then we had big room and played the riddle game. To end the day we played with friends and had story time.
Wednesday was candy cane day. We started the day coloring a candy cane. In morning centers, we did our C cutting page, matched C’s, counted stripes, and made candy cane ornaments with pipe cleaners and pony beads. Then we had lunch and recess. In afternoon centers, we colored a candy cane and holly, then cut and glued them. We also, found C’s, colored in ten frames, did candy cane patterns, and made our Rudolph ornament. Next we had big room. To end the day we did some makeup work and played with friends.
Thursday was give a mouse a cookie day. We started the day writing our names in our quick kits. In morning centers, we wrote about what we would do if we got a cookie, put cookies in a cookie jar, counted cookies, and finished any ornament we needed to catch up on. Then we had lunch and recess. Next we did our December writing sample. Then, we had our full play practice to practice our songs and lines for the Christmas play. To end the day, we got to eat cookies!
