This week we learned about the letter X. Tuesday we started the day writing our names and numbers in our quick kits. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase X, made our treasure map, counted and added gems, and made an X book. For art, we made X xylophones by putting the keys in rainbow order and from biggest to smallest. Then we did an X connect the dots and played in the big room with our friends. We ended the day with a treasure hunt, finding all the landmarks, and finally finding the treasure!
Wednesday was x-ray day. We started the day playing with toys with friends. We did Zoophonics for Specials and then for centers, we did our x cutting page, an x-ray hand with q-tips, an x mat with pattern blocks, and a skeleton x-ray puzzle. We ended the day with play time and story time.
Thursday was x at the end day. We started the day coloring a fox. In morning centers, we did an x maze, cut and pasted x at the end of words, counted and added gems and coins, and put magnets on xylophones. In afternoon centers, we put x’s on x, wrote x’s, did a not a box page, colored x at the end words, and played tic tac toe. At the end of the day we did some makeup work, evals, and played with friends.
