Hi Parents!
What a fun week! Our letter this week was Kk and had tons of fun with our kings and queens!
On Monday we started the day with a Kk coloring page. During centers we worked on some very important gifts for our kings and queens. We also completed our April writing and coloring sheet which you will find in their final portfolios at graduation. The kids are getting so good at writing their names. In another center they worked on finding the letter Kk to create a maze which turned out to be easy work for them! At the end of the day we watched Captain Seasalt letter K.
Tuesday we started the day off with puzzles. The kids love puzzles! In centers they worked on The Kk Says write, cut and paste worksheet. They also got to practice their writing skills on our big dry erase board where they wrote numbers 0-10. In another center they practiced writing the letter Kk on our dry erase quick kits. At the end of the day we watched and practiced our ZooPhonics.
Wednesday was King and Queen Day! I hope you enjoyed the program and the gifts. The kids worked so hard on them and were so excited!
On Thursday, it was kindness kite day. We started the day with finally playing outside! The kids got to draw with chalk on our driveway since the grass was getting cut. During centers the kids did some creative writing while making their own crafted kites. We asked them how they can be kind and I loved all the answers. These kites will be going home soon. Another center the kids drew and colored self portraits while looking in a small mirror. They did this at the beginning of the year so we will see how their perspective and coloring skills have changed.
Next week we start our ABC Bootcamp focusing on letters A-M. I can’t believe we are already here!
