Hi Parents,

We had a great week learning about the letter ‘Pp.’ Here is a snapshot…

On Tuesday our theme was ‘pretend pizza party.’ In morning centers, the kids made ‘pizzas’ (using felt) by following a recipe and counting out the toppings, they worked on a pizza themed color by number, they put candy corn on letters, and they cut, glued, and colored pizza shapes. In afternoon centers, the kids finished their pizza color by number, they played with magnets, and they made pizzas in a ‘pizza oven’ with play doh. We ended our day by doing our monthly name writing and coloring/drawing sheet.

On Wednesday our theme was ‘PJ’s and popcorn.’ In the morning the kids rotated through specials learning Spanish, sign language, science/math, and zoo phonics. After lunch, we watched Spookley the Square Pumpkin and ate puffy popcorn. We ended our day with art. The kids painted fall trees with cotton balls.

We had such a fun morning with all of you at the pumpkin patch today! (Thursday) Some of you I didn’t see but I hope everyone had a wonderful time and found some great pumpkins!

Next week is another short week and we are talking about the letter ‘Oo.’ Looking forward to it!

Take Care,

Missy
