Mrs. Kelli’s Preschool Classroom

Welcome to November! We now have 2 solid months of school under our belts! I am seeing the kids getting more and more settled in and comfortable in the classroom setting. We are all loving getting to know each other better & better! In November, we are starting to make things for Christmas as surprises for you! We want to keep them surprises, so I can’t always be specific about exactly what we’re doing šŸ™‚ This week, we introduced the letter N & the rectangle shape.

Books we read:

No, David!

Our Color, Shape, & Number Book

We colored the #9 for our Nn ABC page

We did a letter Nn find using our magnetic chips & magic wands (they love using our magic wands!)

We traced & practiced writing our names

We built with unifix cubes

We found numbers in our sensory bin

We sorted legosĀ  (rectangles/squares)

We traced rectangles

We put stickers on rectangles

We colored our nursery rhyme page

We practiced cutting play doh and cutting rectangles out of play doh

We made rectangles on rubber band boards

We made name noodle necklaces

We painted something for Christmas

Notes:

Thank you to everyone who donated for Operation Christmas Child. We are filling shoeboxes next week! I’ve talked to all of my littles about what we’re doing & why, they are so young, and I’m hoping they’ll have some understanding of it.Ā  If you haven’t already, it would be great if you could reinforceĀ  this at home too. Thank you!

Also, thank you to everyone who came to Culver’s night!Ā  We had a wonderful turnout & we appreciate you!

Until Next Week,

Mrs. Kelli
