This week we learned about the letter J. Tuesday was Jellybean day. We started the day playing with toys with our friends. In morning centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase J, used jellybeans to measure lines, counted jellybeans and graphed them, and made our first ornament. After lunch, we had our first play practice. Then we had story time. At the end of the day, we started our Christmas bags.

Wednesday was Jumping for Jesus day. We started the day writing our names and numbers. In morning centers, we wrote about what we would give Jesus for his birthday, found all the J’s, played straw constructor, and started on a second ornament. In afternoon centers, we did our J cutting page, did a shapes puzzle, and finished our second ornament. At the end of the day we finished decorating our Christmas bags.

Thursday was Jingle Bell day. We started the day reading books with friends. During circle time, we sang the Jingle Bells song. In morning centers, we did our J letter review page, played with toy cars and letter roads, did tangram puzzles, and made our fingerprint frames. After lunch, we had another play practice. Then we had story time and finished our frames. At the end of the day, we did makeup work and got to try out a new ornament making toy called Tree-mendous. The kids loved it!

See you next week for our C week, cookies, clouds, and candy canes!
