This week we learned about the letter Q. Tuesday was Queen day. We also had graduation pictures and celebrated Jack’s early birthday. We started the day playing with toys with friends. In centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase Q, put quarters on Q, did coin patterns, and cut and glued a queen. In art, we made hand prints for mom and dad and made family quilts. We also did our Q cutting page and did p and q dotters. At the end of the day we played the Q riddle game.

Wednesday was quilt day. We started the day writing our first and last names and phone numbers. We had specials and learned sign language, Zoophonics, science, and Spanish. In centers, we made a quilt with paper strips, did a rhyming quilt, wrote q’s and covered q’s, and did quilt magnets. At the end of the day, we had chapel and learned about the last supper.

Thursday we celebrated Easter in class. We started the day coloring an Easter page. In morning centers, we made bunny ears, traced the alphabet, rolled to make a bunny, and did a p and q sorting page. Then we had our Easter party, played Easter games with another class, and had our Easter snack. The kids had so much fun!

See you next week for K week, king and queen day, king day, and kite day.
