This week, we focused on the letter Q & celebrated Easter!
Books we read:
Happy Easter, Mouse!
Centers this week:
We colored a quilt for our Q ABC page
We made quilts, using paper squares
We evaluated colors, numbers, and shapes
We did a letter Q find
We decorated a cross with dot markers
We colored an Easter egg
We practiced our fine motor by clipping clothespins on an Easter basket
We did an Easter egg color and upper/lowercase letter match
We found bunnies in an Easter themed sensory bin
Other:
We had chapel time this week for Easter. We waved palms, talked all about the meaning of Easter and had our own “Last Supper” together with bread and juice. It was a great, interactive lesson that everyone enjoyed. Thank you to Mrs. Laura & Mrs. Kristina for teaching us!
In the classroom, we had an “Easter friendship” snack together, with pretzels, jellybeans, mini marshmallows, and bunny shaped graham crackers. They ate every last bite We had such a fun day together!
Remember, there is an “Easter Egg Scramble” this Saturday at the church. Come early to register, receive prizes, and enjoy some popcorn & cotton candy. They will blow the horn at 1 sharp, so don’t be late!
