This week we focused on the letter Kk. we talked about the sound the letter Kk makes and words that begin with the letter Kk. We came up with kangaroo, kite, kitten, and kite.

On Tuesday, we had an e-learning day. Hopefully, most of your kiddos were able to get on Google Classroom and do some of the activities.

On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of kites. For morning centers, we counted up the kites on a card and clipped the correct number, cut out and made a kite, did the Kk says /k/ page, and matched upper and lowercase ABCs with a kite theme. In the afternoon, we had specials and met with all four all-day teachers. At the end of the day, we started the end of the year evaluations by evaluating our number recognition. We also read books about kites.

On Thursday, we focused on the theme of Earth Day. For morning art, we did an “I Love My Earth” gluing project. They came out so cute!!!! For afternoon centers, we did and I-spy Earth Day game, colored a recycle color-by-number coloring page, trace/wrote the letter Kk, and played a “Happy Earth/Sad Earth” game. At the end of the day, we got to go outside and see what the earth would be like if we didn’t recycle. We got to “kick the garbage to the curb”. We also got to listen to Mrs. Trish talk about how to recycle by looking for the recycle symbol. We also read books about Earth Day and recycling.

Until next week,

Mrs. Brandi
