This week we focused on the letter Qq.

On Tuesday, we had our King & Queen Day. For morning centers, we made ten frames with rhinestones, did our Qq says /q/ page, played a queen letter game, and traced/wrote the letter Qq. In the afternoon, we had our moms and dads come in for “King & Queen” day. We did great up on stage performing for them. It was great seeing all the parents!!!!

On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of quarters. For morning centers, we patterned with coins, worked on a couple of quarter worksheets, and we sorted with coins. We also talked about the different coins, sizes, color, and the amount each is worth. In the afternoon, we had our last specials day with all four all-day teachers. At the end of the day, we started evaluating for the end of the year evaluations.

On Thursday, we focused on the theme of quilts. For morning art, we painted our handprints for our graduation hats. We also wrote our name and the year on them. For afternoon centers, we made a quilt out of fruit loops and a Qq is for Quilt page, sorted p and qs, made ABCs with alphabet pop-its, and weaved strips of paper to make a quilt. At the end of the day, we did some more evaluating for our evaluations.

Until next week,
