This week was Q week. Tuesday was Queen day. We started the day coloring a Q queen and celebrated Mariana’s birthday. In morning centers, we wrote upper and lowercase Q, a quail beginning letter sounds page, shapes puzzle, and mom questionnaires. In afternoon centers, we did a p and q page, letter construction, looked at insects with magnifying glasses, and cut and glued the word queen. For art, we made family quilts with tissue paper and did our Love hand prints for mom and dad. We ended the day with story time.

Wednesday was Quarters day. We started the day playing toys with friends and talked about coins and what they are worth. In centers, we practiced writing Q’s, did our Q cutting page, coin patterns, and put quarters on Q. For Zoo phonics we practiced our song and played letter sound charades. We ended the day with chapel and had story time.

Thursday was Quirky Quilts day. We started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we wrote and found Q’s, made a rhyming quilt, played subsidizing cards, and weaved our own quilts with colored paper. In afternoon centers, we did lacing cards, finished our quilts, sorted p’s and q’s, and did quilt magnets. At the end of the day we finished our mom questionnaires and any other makeup work. Scoopie visited us at the end of the day. Thank you to all that came out to support ABC at Culver’s!

See you next week for K week! Kings, Kites, and we will be celebrating Earth Day!
