Hi Parents,
We had such a fun week learning about the letter Kk. This is our last letter before we start reviewing! Here is a snap shot…
On Tuesday our theme was ‘King and Queen.’ In morning centers, the kids played a math counting game, they cut and glued a K to look like a king, they practiced writing, and they cut and glued patterns. In the afternoon, we worked on a listening activity. I gave instructions and the kids had to color, write or draw on their page depending on what I said. These are always good activities and they did great! We ended the day playing with toys. I’m starting to do the end of the year evaluations.
On Wednesday we loved celebrating YOU! The kids did such a great job singing for king and queen day. It’s always one of my favorite days.
On Thursday our theme was ‘kindness and kites.’ In morning centers, the kids cut and glued their K page, they cut and colored a kite, they made shapes with rubber bands on GEO boards, and they counted and clipped clothes pins on kites with numbers on them. In afternoon centers, the kids dotted a kite with dot markers, they scooped beads into bottles with funnels, they drew a picture on their kite from morning centers, and they built with LEGO.
Next week we will start reviewing all of the letters. The kids will also start practicing for graduation! Looking forward to it.
Take Care,
Missy
