This week we learned about our last letter, letter K! Tuesday was King day and we celebrated Skylar’s birthday. We started the day reading books with friends. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase K, wrote king words and traced letters, king patterns, and words that start with K. For art, we made a king project and did our graduation hat hand prints. At the end of the day, we started our end of the year evaluations and played with our friends.
Wednesday was Earth Day and King and Queen Day! We started the day coloring a reduce reuse recycle page. We talked about what is kind and unkind to our Earth during circle time. For centers, we colored an Earth day color by number, Earth squares, ISPY Earth game, and a color by letter. Then we had lunch and recess and then got ready for king and queen performance. I hope you all enjoyed the show! They did such a great job on the songs and questions.
Thursday was kindness and kites day. We also celebrated James’ birthday. In morning centers, we talked about how to be a kind kid, did our K cutting page, made kites with shapes, and played with tangrams on Kk. In afternoon centers, we wrote K, played with kinetic sand, made our own kites, and finished our Earth day projects. At the end of the day we got to play outside with friends and continue our end of the year evaluations.
See you next week for our first half of the alphabet review week! We will be reviewing the letters A through M.
