This week was our Easter week and letter Y week. Tuesday was our Easter party day. We started the day coloring Easter eggs and celebrating Olivia’s birthday.  At our Easter party, we made bunny headbands and a color by letter, played a matching numbers eggs game, and an Easter egg bozo buckets game. The kids had a fun time with their friends! For centers, we did a roll a bunny game, jellybean graphing, traced the alphabet on eggs, and played a dice game. For art, we made marble painted bunnies in a container. The kids had so much fun doing this! We ended the day with story time.

Wednesday was yarn art day. We started the day reading books with friends. In centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase Y, did our Y cutting page, played tangrams, and cut out the letter Y and laced it with yarn. For specials, we went over our ZooPhonics letters and sounds. At the end of the day, we did some yoga and had story time.

Thursday was wear yellow day. We started the day coloring some Y’s yellow. In morning centers, we practiced writing Y’s, colored pictures that start with Y, did number tracing cards, and made a Y is for yo yo craft. In afternoon centers, we finished our yo yo craft, measured with jellybeans, cut and glued the word yellow, found Y’s and traced Y’s, and made Y’s on geo boards. At the end of the day, we did a following directions activity and made our own book of yellow. We ended the day with story time. See you next week for our B week, bugs, brown bear, and butterflies!
