This week we celebrated Easter and learned about the letter Q. Tuesday was Celebrating Easter day. We started the day writing our names and numbers in our quick kits. In centers, we did an Easter alphabet trace, played with play dough on Easter mats, graphed and measured with jellybeans, and played a roll a bunny dice game. For art, we made tissue paper flowers and made a family quilt. We also made bunny ear headbands. At the end of the day, we played the riddle game and toys with friends.

Wednesday was Q is for Queen day. We started the day reading books with friends. In Specials, we learned about our new letter Q, its sound, animal, and motion. We also played a beanbag game to review other letters we have learned. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase Q, cut and glued a queen page, put quarters on Q, and made a q is for queen art project. At the end of the day, we did makeup work and played with our friends.

Thursday was Quirky Quilts day. We started the day coloring a Q page. In morning centers, we wrote Q’s, found Q’s, did our Q cutting page, made pattern quilts, and quilt magnets. In afternoon centers, we play straw construction, made a rhyming quit, played with tangrams, and painted picture frames. At the end of the day, we did our April writing and coloring sample and finished any makeup work from the week.

See you next week for B week! Butterflies, bugs, and brown bear 🙂
