This week we focused on the letter Cc. We talked about the sound the letter Cc made and came up with words that start with the letter Cc. We came up with Christmas, candy canes, cookie, cat, car, and clouds.
On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of clouds. For morning centers, we traced/wrote our numbers 0-20 on cloud themed cards, did our Cc says /c/ page, did a cloud creative writing, and made shapes with kinetic sand and Christmas cookie cutters. For afternoon centers, we traced/wrote the letter Cc, did a Cc maze, played and explored with magnets, and made a “surprise”. At the end of the day, we made cloud shapes with cotton balls. We also read a few Christmas themed books.
On Wednesday, we were busy with practicing for our Christmas play. Our play is on Wednesday, December 20th at 12:30. I hope all of you can make it to see your adorable little ones perform!!! At the end of the day, we got to eat yummy cookies!!!! We read a few Christmas themed books, too!!!!
On Thursday, we focused on the theme of candy canes. For morning art, we made another “surprise”. For afternoon centers, we wrote our letters with sand boxes and candy canes, colored a color-by-letter ornament page, used our fingerprints to make a candy cane with a poem, and did Christmas themed tanagram puzzles. At the end of the day, we finished up some of the “surprises” and our color-by-letter coloring page. We also read a few Christmas themed books.
Please keep practicing with your child on putting their own coat on and trying to zip up their coat!!!
