This week we focused on the letter Cc. We talked about the sound the letter Cc makes and words that begin with the letter Cc. We came up with Christmas, cookie, candy cane, cat, and castle.
It may look like we didn’t do much throughout the day, but we have been working hard on “surprises” for all of you.
On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of clouds. For morning centers, we traced our numbers with a cloud theme, found the letter Cc in an alphabet maze, wrote a cloud creative writing, and traced/wrote the letter Cc. Rest of the day was filled with being “little elves”!!!!
On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of candy canes. For morning centers, we used Q-Tip’s and painted a candy cane, did our Cc says /c/ page, used candy canes and a sandbox to write our ABCs, and made a bead candy cane. Again, the rest of the day was taken up by all of us being “little elves”!!!!
On Thursday, we focused on the theme of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. In the morning, we were “elves” again!!! In the afternoon, we did our centers. We matched the chocolate chips with the correct number, made shapes with geoboards, made Christmas cookies with Play-Doh and cookie cutters, and worked on counting with cookie themed clip cards. At the end of the day, we got to eat yummy cookies!!!!
