This week we learned about the letter L. Tuesday was love bug day. We started the day writing our names and numbers in our quick kits. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase L, did a love bug letter sequencing page, put dots on love bugs, and cut love bugs. For art, we made a heart love bug craft bee and a love bug butterfly. Then we had big room playing with friends. Chapel ended our day.
Wednesday was love letters and lollipop day. We started the day playing toys with friends. Then we had specials. For phonics we learned our new letter L, Lizzy Lizard, and practiced our song. We also danced and sang to a couple Phonics videos. In centers, we wrote love letters, played a deliver the letter game, did a color by number lollipop page, and played love bug tic tac toe. After big room, we made our own lollipops and got to take real ones home!
Thursday was learning last names day. We started the day coloring a love page. In morning centers, we made a Things I Love book, wrote our last names on the big board, counted ladybug spots, and did our L cutting page. In afternoon centers, we finished our Love books, practicing writing and saying our last names, did a love bug number sequencing page, and played a roll and write game. After big room, we did some love bug coloring and finished any unfinished work. We ended the day with treasure box.
