This week we focused on the letter Ss. We talked about the sound the letter Ss makes and words that begin with the letter Ss. We came up with star, strawberry, snake, snow, and superhero.

On Tuesday, we had an e-learning day because of the cold temperatures. Hope you all got on Google Classroom and did some of the stuff I put on there!!!!

On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of sports/superheroes. For start-up, we colored a Ss page while we waited for all of our friends to arrive. For morning centers, we did sports themed clip cards, made our letters out of Play-Doh with a football theme, worked on number recognition 11-14 with a superhero color-by-number, and played and I-spy with a sports theme. In the afternoon, we did our Ss says /s/ cut/paste page. At the end of the day, we did our “S is for Superhero” project.

On Thursday, we focused on the theme of snowmen. For start-up, we colored a snowman page while our friends arrived. For morning centers, we traced/wrote the letter Ss, played a snowman themed number matching game, did a cut and paste sort by size snowman page, and matched the beginning sound with a snowman theme. For afternoon art, we water colored a snowflake. At the end of the day, we did some more evaluating for our mid-year evaluations.

It was great to meet with all of you on your child’s progress. The kids are doing great, and I love to see the progress they are all making!!!!

Until next week,

Mrs. Brandi
