This week we focused on the letter Ii. We talked about the sound the letter Ii makes and words that begin with the letter Ii.

On Tuesday, we had an e-learning day. Hopefully, you were able to get your child online to do some of the activities that I posted.

On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of igloos and ice skating. For morning centers, we did some winter graphing, practiced our cutting by doing a snowman order by size, matched upper and lowercase ABCs with Alpha Pops, and colored and ice skate cutout. For afternoon centers, we colored an Eskimo for a project, painted an igloo and a winter background with Duplo blocks, traced/wrote the letter Ii and made letters with geoboards. At the end of the day, we finished up evaluating and glued foil on to our ice skate. We also read books on winter and igloos.

On Thursday, we focused on the theme of ice cream. For morning centers, we played an ice cream I-spy game, did our Ii says /i/ page, colored an igloo, and did an ice cream push pin art. For afternoon art, we cut out our igloo we painted and glued it on to our winter scene. We also laced our ice skate. At the end of the day, we got to eat yummy ice cream and had chapel where we learned about Jonah and the Whale. We continued to read books on winter.

It was nice to get to talk to all of you regarding your child at parent/teacher conferences on Friday. I was so excited to let you know how your child has progressed throughout the year. They are all doing great and such a pleasure to have in my class.

Until next week,

Mrs. Brandi
