This week was I week. We learned about the letter I, igloos, ice skating, and ice cream!

Tuesday was Igloo and ice day. We started the day playing toys with friends. In centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase I, found all the letters, did an igloo count, and make snow and igloos with legos and paint. In art, we made our Eskimos for our igloos. These are one of my favorite crafts we do for winter. They turned out super cute and are hanging in the big room for you to see at conferences. At the end of the day, we did some evaluations and played with friends. We also had chapel at the end of the day.

Wednesday was indoor ice skating day. We started the day writing our first and last names. In morning centers, we colored an ice skate, did our I cutting page, played snowman math, and played with igloo magnets. In afternoon centers, we did letter construction, a color by letter, 14 in a ten frame, and laced our skates and put foil on the bottom. These are also hanging in our big room for you to see! At the end of the day, we did snowflake dot painting.

Thursday was ice cream day! We started the day coloring an ice cream cone. In morning centers, we stamped to 50 to celebrate our 50th day of school, played ice cream shop, played a sprinkle 20 game, and make ice cream patterns with play-doh. In afternoon centers, we finished up our snowflake dot painting, matched cones to ice cream letters, played an Ispy ice cream game, and did a push pin ice cream cone. At the end of the day, we got to eat ice cream!

Thank you all that came out to La Quesadilla for Dinner! See you next week for our S week, superheroes, sports, and snowmen.
