This week we learned about the letter S. Tuesday was a sports day. We started the day playing with toys with friends. In morning centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase S,  put football letter cards in order, did our number tracing cards, and made letters with pop its. In afternoon centers, we played ISPY sports game, wrote S’s, played the sandwich game, and played in a sensory bin. For art, we made a superhero S. We ended the day with story time.

Wednesday was stars and space day. We started the day reading books with our friends. In morning centers, we wrote our name and cut out a star, did our S cutting page, made ten frames with moon rocks, and played with kinetic sand. In afternoon centers, we put stars on S, did our January writing/coloring sample, played with moon rocks, and did patterns. At the end of the day, we put rockets in order and did any makeup work we needed to get done.

Thursday was Superhero day. We started the day with a superhero coloring page. In morning centers, we wrote about how super we are, made superhero masks, did a Spiderman counting mat, and practiced writing our numbers. At the end of the day, we played an S riddle game as a class. We ended the day with story time. See you next week for W week! Winter, Watermelon, and Weather 🙂
