This week was U week. We started the week with Underwater Adventures on Tuesday. We played with toys with friends in the morning, followed by circle time when we talked about animals that live in water and animals that live on land. For morning centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase U, found words that start with different letters of the alphabet and put them into seashells, did a color by number fish, and started making our underwater pouches. In afternoon centers, we sorted land and ocean animals, made fish out of play-doh and put them into the correct fish tank, cut out diamonds, and continued with our underwater pouches. For art, we made foil fish. These turned out awesome!

Wednesday we had Up day. We started the day writing our first and last names. In centers, we did our U cutting page, found all the upper and lowercase U’s, made number towers with dice and unifix cubes, and painted with balloons. For Specials, we watched our Zoo Phonics video and played charades. At the end of the day we had chapel and talked about Easter.

Thursday was Umbrellas and Unicorns day. We celebrated Lucia’s birthday. We started the day with a unicorn coloring page. In morning centers, we did a U is for umbrella page, used pop its to make letters, did unicorn ten frames, and cut and glued different size umbrellas in order from smallest to largest. In afternoon centers, we colored a U is for unicorn page, did our U letter review page, picked up objects with tweezers, and used pop its to make numbers. At the end of the day we played, did makeup work, and had story time. Thank you to all that came out to Wendy’s to support ABC! See you next week for G week, grandparents, gumballs, and gardens. Our last week before Spring Break!
