This week we learned about the letter G. Tuesday was St. Patrick’s day and we celebrated Lorelai’s birthday. We also did some gumball activities for G. We started the day coloring a pot of gold. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase G, found all the lucky letters, did a St. Patrick’s day ISPY, and we made our own gumball machines. For art, we painted rainbows and finished our gumball machines. Then we colored a shamrock and did a color by number. Last, we had big room and played the riddle game to end the day.
Wednesday was Grandparent Day! We started writing in our quick kits. In centers, we wrote letters to our grandma and grandpas, found all the G’s, counted gumballs, did a color by number, and grandparent mazes. Then in the afternoon we had our Grandparents performance. The kids did an amazing job!
Thursday was growing gardens day and wear green day. We started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we did a G is for green page, our G cutting page, gumball counting mats, and played with geo boards. In afternoon centers, we did our G letter review page, colored the G’s, matched gumball ten frames, and played with gumball magnets. Thank you to all who came to Culver’s night!
Enjoy your spring break, send any pictures! Can’t wait to hear about your adventures with Flat Stanley. When we come back from break, we will celebrate Spring and learn about the letter Y, yellow and yarn.
