This week, we reviewed March themes, learned about the #’s 7 & 8, and introduced the octagon shape. We also had a visit from Indiana Waste Management to learn about Earth Day!

 

Books we read:

Michael Recycle & Litterbug Doug

 

Centers:

We made diamond shapes using magnets

We did 1:1 correspondence using peg boards

We did a coloring sheet with all things gray

We put green play doh on kletter G

We did a letter find for Ee & Uu

We colored our nursery rhyme page

We did letter matching

We practiced cutting twice! Once with the grass we grew, & we also cut out the square shape

We did color sorting using trash cans

We traced an octagon

 

ART/Other:

This week, we didn’t have a regular art project. We did our monthly name writing samples on Mon & Tues, and on Wed & Thur, we were learning about litter & recycling from the ladies who visited from Indiana Waste Management.  During that time, we did make a “Litter Police” badge!

It was very exciting to come back after Spring Break to see how much our grass grew! In just 3 weeks time, it got so long!  We are going to have it planted in our playground area.
